“To Burkina” is one of the last album produced by Antonio Testa (available only in digital downloading).
The recordings were carried out in 2000 in Burkina Faso and produced by ExperimenTribe after long hours of recording, reaping the propitiatory rituals and the various cerimonies of the world where ethnic groups still live together.
From the recordings he has selected some samples and constructing a recording full of electronic tribal textures,ethno-ambient rhythms, dub, electro-acoustic sounds from manually manipulated equipment.
Antonio Testa plays ethnic percussion on this CD, some composed by himself and some native ones such as tamanà, djembe, darabukka, water pumpkin, cogas, bongos, sansa, balaphon, trumpet, flutes, piano, synths, samples, programming, plus fields recordings and texture drones.
Susana Beatriz Alvear (voice and backing vocals), David Mantovani (bass), Francesco Saverio Porciello (guitars) have collaborated to this CD ,along with other artists from Burikina Faso like Baba Diarrà (voice, shekkerè, karigna, n'goni) Drissa (dambelè), Akil Koita (djembè) and Chakat Koita (djembè).
